Chinese search engine giant Baidu announced in Beijing on Tuesday that its advertising platform, DU Ad Platform (DAP), has launched a project named “DU +” to aid Chinese domestic mobile app developers in expanding in overseas markets.

““DU +” aims to provide a one-stop ad distribution and monetization solution for developers and help them maximize their profits,” said Tang Cailin, product director of DU Group. “We hope to build further cooperation with domestic developers and guarantee that all the revenue that developers get from DAP will be distributed to them.”

Tang explained that lots of developers have trouble balancing monetization and user experience, and said Baidu plans to offer great solutions to this problem. He said that, based on Baidu’s resources in big data and cloud computing, they can build their ad platform and help developers find the right customers.

Last September, Baidu first unveiled its DAP at the Baidu World Conference in Beijing. The DAP provides advertisers with solutions for things like banner advertisements and support for native advertising among others. Publishers, on the other hand, can use its cloud platform for cloud network acceleration, faster Application Programming Interface (API) integration as well as reaching out through native advertising on various platforms.

Data from Baidu shows DAP covers more than 200 countries and regions and reaches over 1.6 billion people across the world, which means developers can benefit a great deal from the vast reach of their ads in emerging and developed markets.
